Firearm Proficiency.
Weapons are a tool to defend and to attack, what makes them just isn't important in the instance but, how to use them is. Strictly I am speaking for the use of weapons and firearms as tools for self defense. When the zombies rise or the Chinese invade, it's important that you understand the workings of a gun. There are many types of guns in the world ranging from pistols to a heavy machine guns. I will teach you the basics to rifle shooting.

The parts of a firearm are important to know. The muzzle (the place the bullet comes out of of) is rifled (has spiraled groves on the inside) in a rifle for accuracy. This rotational force causes the bullet to move in a straight path. On the muzzle there are two sights (unless you have a scope), one is near the tip and one is near the action (the moving part of the gun in operation). The sight near the action is in the shape of a V and the sight near the tip of the muzzle is a straight standing bar. You'll want to place the bar in between the V when looking down the back-end muzzle. Your right hand should be near the trigger and your left hand should be on the bottom of the forestock ( under the muzzle). The butt of the gun (the back) should be in the crook of your shoulder and chest.

With this in mind, you want to make triangles in your body to support the weapon. Try to bend your arms to make triangles and spread your feet at shoulder length to provide good balance. The most efficient position to fire in for accuracy is when your laying down (prone). Keep the same principles in mind when wielding the gun and you should be fine. When scoping in for the shot, try not to at the last point breathe and make very little movements as you center in. Use your dominant eye to look down the muzzle and close the other so you wont mess up your shot picture. Squeeze the trigger slowly and don't move until you feel the recoil of the weapon.
It's important in the days of peace to know how to use and manipulate a firearm. Be careful and don't kill anyone who isn't trying to kill you.
