The Gaddafi Incident

As the recent death of the dictator Muammar Gaddafi is being questioned on how humanly it was enacted, I have started to question, when you capture a dictator that is responsible for thousands of deaths, how do you treat him? Does this man deserve the brutal death that he got? That is the question in the UN.
Each had gun control laws to disarm their target population. Many are living or lived great lives after their mass murdering.

What needs to be known is that in his 40+ year reign, Gaddafi is the murderer and torturer of thousands of Libyans and started numerous wars in the surrounding area. He was by no means, a good man. He hated his people he ruled and taught his children his ways. For his explicit actions against humanity, he and possibly his son, Saif al-Islam, lie dead.

With this in mind, what do you think should have happened to him? He was seen beaten and shot, dragged and strapped to the hood of a car and killed. Was this all he deserved? Does a lifetime of death deserved to be ended in death? I think back to the Quote from the bible,
                MATTHEW 26: 47-55,
"He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword."

As of now, international speculation of the incident has been aroused and the UN must decide if they should press charges. These hypothetical charges would be severely unpopular in Libya and might draw speculation from the international community saying that Gaddafi had what was coming to him. Think back to Saddam Hussein and his death trail; he was hanged, which according to many societies is inhuman for various reasons. Some believed that this man shouldn't have been killed or at the very least, hanged. Then, think back to 1945 when Hitler committed suicide. He chose his death, and likely it was a much kinder death than almost anyone thinks he deserved.

The question of how to treat those who kill the innocents have been questioned for millennia. Some have said that it's wrong to kill anyone and others say that it's only right to get compensation. Think to your life. What would you want of the man responsible for killing your grandfather, father and brother? Would you immediately think, he shouldn't be killed? Doubtful to say the least. In Libya, Gaddafi easily killed whole families of people and now the world thinks that that the man responsible should be put on trail.

The death of Gaddafi is something brutal, did he deserve his punishment?
