On the Back of a Culturally Tolerant Dove

In the world there is so many problems. Massive fighting in Africa and the Middle East to Huge debts in America. With good and bad news in Asia and a global economic crisis, we have a lot to worry about. What's the good news you might ask? Well, I think that near the bottom of the list of what could happen to us is a war over culture ultimately tearing us apart. I know, your thinking, "Sir Observer, you're not paranoid?" The answer is only a little.

All cultures have been changing and developing throughout time. It's obvious that religions and our morals have a huge influence on our culture, but that doesn't mean we will kill ourselves over it.

People from America think to the future. After we beat nature into extinction, we want to govern by our own rules of indulgence, ease and style. To American's who haven't thought of this before, about 75% of them, this seems far from the truth, but the longer you think about it, the more it makes sense.

If you look at 'Merica from an outside country's perspective, I don't know if you'd like what you see. We are very much the oppressive middle school bully in the world. We are always in a fight, we're rich, we only care about ourselves, we're ignorant and numerous other names come to mind when I think about how we act.

Even though good ol' 'Merica has many defects, that doesn't mean other countries are any better. I am trying to say, America isn't the absolute greatest example of what a country should be, but look at all the countries in revolutions that we had about 300 years ago. There is people out in the world without rights that us Americans take for granted. Just like when your Mom said, "Eat your food 'cause babies in Africa are starving," there really are babies in Africa starving. Be glad you live in a country where we don't have an extreme competition for resources.

As our economy is flailing for a grip onto a ledge that it has fallen off backwards, we have to fend off radical misinterpreting cultures. Death should not pave your path into heaven, because with one life, you can save more then you can destroy. Over many centuries from Nero to Hitler and dozens of other repressive leaders, we have seen terrible people try to create as much death as possible.

Those who are unmentioned through efforts to save lives deserve the most praise. Even though you wouldn't know it, your neighbors, your family, your friends and you have saved lives for every second you've been on earth.

Keep all in mind that even though a war from clashing cultures is unlikely, it is possible and a regular war, especially when nuclear possibilities can do just as much damage.
