Those Who Lack What They Want
Background Info:
Ok, don't worry, I'll stop, but I hope you realize that it gets worse and worse from there and I've only shown you the select few that passed my "this is appropriate" test that actually took me a good twenty minutes. The point I'm going to try and make is that teens sometimes are just desperate for attention. If you just a person who doesn't understand why I feel the need to state my opinion on this, look outside, this lack of humanity is outstanding. It's a weed to the culture that we have (not in reference to the cannabis above).
The people above are desperate, in my opinion, for the attention that others give them, whether it is from men, women, the police or other things that they want to impress or rebel against. For instance, women have worn clothing that is more and more suggestive. I’m not saying that women should go back to petticoats and dresses, but at least don’t be strutting out in public with yoga pants and a sports bra/too tight shirt/weed shirt or a shirt displaying sexual references.
I think that part of this unfortunate phenomenon is that the role models that we have aren’t getting better and that the stigmas of beauty have changed. This being said, I think it’s believable that there are more sluts currently in the world than a real lady or the common phase, "Good guys always finish last" is still relevant and true.
An article by Lucy Daniels Center has some of the root causes found in children, SADD compiled their own article on their website here and you can find a lot of other means of finding information yourself. Both articles point to how parental involvement is a direct cause as to how people become attention seekers. I strongly recommend reading the second article, because it gives many of the questions that I will pose. generally, people who have good relationships with their parents have a better life, with drug abuse, alcohol addiction, dangerous driving and sexual intercourse delayed and eliminated through this relationship.

What I Wanted To Say:
Even with the research that has been made, people won't change because they want to stay in the norm and not talk about things with their kids that their kids do every single day at school. I find it remarkable that out of every single friend I know that go to my school (specifically), only 3 of them have inattentive parents and don't drink or have sex constantly. I think its outstanding that I know so many! My parents aren't nature's perfect nurturers, that being said, I'm not that bad. I wont say how or why just keep in mind that I'm not the perfect wanted example of what a parent wants. I have very diverse friends, some from strict religious homes who seek a rebellion and some who love and embrace it. Some that wear black and chant death metal, some that all that I can describe of them is that their normal and those far and in between. those who drink, fuck, smoke and do shit like that are from the poorest of poor homes and constantly tell me how they hate their parents. If the rarer occurrence happens of a guy with normal-er seeming life has bad parents, they act like dousches (if guys) and bitches (if girls). But if your rich and have nothing to base your believes on, whether it be a church or your family, your a jerk or a slut.
I think that with the lack of handholds that our society has for growing up has caused a tumble to happen and flailing occurs when teens try to grasp what makes them grown up or more mature. On the way to the finish line of the beginning of adulthood, teens take advantage of the status given to them by the government and use as much of the leniency that the government gives them as possible. They smoke, drink, fuck and fit in with the kids going the same direction they are. When you have a side by side comparison of a "dirty and a "prep" they almost seem to overlap on the key issues. The only differences are seen on the outside and preferences in minute things like music, books or movies. The different things, unfortunately are what people are judged by, so they have the tendency to hate each other.
All groups of people want some form of attention, now and then, but some more than others, and with the ample research found in the parental connection, those who want more attention seems to coincide with those who don't have a good connection with their parents. For society to change, children need to impacted early with a sense that the only people that they need to impress is those who come after him, not those now. This is why Socrates was sentenced to death and is well-known today. If this mind set can be brought on, early on, procrastination and other cultural problems might line up and take hold of our society to make our lives better and those after us, stronger, smarter and better.
The problems with America almost seem endless, but don't dismay, just prepare.

Just-World Fallacy/Theory/Hypothesis
The topic that we as Americans believe that the world is fair is not uncommon, and many theories have been made as to why. Many people have conducted limited studies of the existence of if it exists, but few have been made to as of why. David McRaney in his blog and his book, both titled, You Are Not So Smart, has gathered the research to the theories and is quoted in many places when people need to explain the meaning of the fallacy. Basically, Just-World Fallacy is the belief that the victim of misfortune had some part to play in the punishment that they received. More easily said as, Victim's Fault.
Usually when people look for an example, they point to rape victims or bullies and their victims. The original thought for the rape victim deserving punishment is that maybe she wears a mini skirt without panties and a bikini top or some other stupid, whorish combination of clothing and decided to go into a bad neighbor hood and get lost and eventually raped. The thought is that the woman who decided to make herself a target deserves the punishment for her stupidity. Funnily enough, according to Claire Andre and Manuel Velasquez in their essay, The Just World Theory, The two a fore mentioned people quoted a researcher about this theory named Melvin J. Lehrer, who said, that basically if an innocent person is in an unfavorable predicament, the observers degrade the person in order to bring a feeling of justice and normality in the events that led to the person in distress' misfortune. So with this logic, those who have bad things happen to them are seen as those who are deserving. Though this logic, Poor people are lazy and the rich are industrious. The famous are famous and the unknown didn't try hard enough, not pointing any fingers *cough* Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian *cough* but as I was saying before the abnormally long cough, people have this perception that people deserve what they have because we as people want the world to be fair to coincide with pop fiction and justice.
But people who stumble on misfortune shouldn't be dismayed from the things that happened to put them where they are, because people look to many other things to judge a person by than their socioeconomic situation or victim status. Unfortunately, sometimes people can't rise out of their dismay but are installed with the hope that if they are morally good or virtuous that they can rise out of the hole that they are in. This too is part of the Just-World Fallacy idea. This isn't necessarily the case, sometimes good people rot away in the sewers of the world and the scammers and con-artists thrive in the highest positions in the world. The only way we can fix this major upheaval of right versus wrong is eliminate Evil but the problem is, that we have this tendency to blame the wrong suspect. We all know that it's not fair and just to send the wrong person to jail, so why do we blame the victim so oftenly? The only way to get rid of the evil in the world is to get rid of the committers of the crimes. The person who preformed the act of defiling or sin is to blame when things go awry, but the victim should also have a grip with reality to understand that the world isn't just and treat it as such so as not to get raped, beaten or bullied. With a combination of common sense and intelligence, justice can be brought and evil can be prevented in the world.
Even with the thought of Justice though, what can you hope to regain from a crime? The best explanation of the justice system in America that I've heard was from my Driver's Ed teacher. The symbol of Lady Justice, a blind woman, showing that all are seen as equals, holding a sword, representing judgement through force, holding unequal scales, meaning that no matter what, the crime can not be taken back and that the courts are only trying to give compensation and balance the scales. No matter how much money the family gets, does it make up for the murder of the late family member? The hardest thing to do after suffering a grievance is to settle back to a form of normality and return to normal life.
